Steel casting is a sect of casting that has high specificity on steel.  when iron casting can’t be used due to shortcomings on deliverance of the required energy or shock resistance; steel casting is chosen.  Hydroelectric turbine wheels, gears, bodies for valves and pumps, mining machinery, engine casings are examples of steel casting items.  The two major groups of steel casting are carbon steel and alloy steel.

The ways of stainless steel castings: The Szekely method involves using metal molds, where the molds are coated with chalk and paraffin.  Metal molds are used in the Shaw process to facilitate steel casting.  In the Slavianoff’s electric casting process, steel is connected to the terminal of an electric circuit so as to melt it, and the plate on which to be cast is kept attached to the other terminal.  The sand core manufacturing method is where there is a casting of a sand core in the solid block of more or less pure metal, and the process is done as always.  An hypothesis had been given stating that the sand does not cause damage to the material.  Fluid steel is poured through revolving rolls carefully adjusted to prevent blowholes and decrease the volume of scale in Norton’s fluid rolling method.

In Bessemer’s steel manufacturing, molten steel have to be poured into the space between steel roles cooled with water.

The roles velocity is monitored according to the thickness of the sheet.  Whiteley’s process of steel casting employs molten steel run in a revolving cylinder, producing a shell.  Bars, rods and other such materials are made from Pielsticker and Muller’s process.  It is done by first directing fluid steel through dies and putting them below a hammer or a rolling.

Cast-iron is heated to bum and bring them together.  When placed in a mold of good shape, and poured in molten metal, it enables filling of the broken part.  The solid metal requires sufficient heating using the following methods: use of a flame to heat the solid metal; casting on method, and burning on, involving running the molten metal within and without till all solids are properly heated, then the outlet hole closed and the mold left to fill up.  Another steel casting method, Wm Chalk’s process engages heat on the shaft to elevated temperatures, put in a selected mold and the molten metal let down to drop on it.  It is done when bringing together a boss of cast iron and a sleeve

The purpose of Falk’s process is to unite the edges of rails; where an extremely hot metal is poured into iron mold put at the ends.

Those mold casting that lasts for a longer period without getting destroyed are majorly used in making iron, copper, aluminum, and magnesium allows.
